Tottenham are lining up a £10 million move for unsettled Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge.

Spurs, who are expected to confirm the appointment of former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas as their next manager, have made the 22-year-old their top target.

Sturridge is currently seeking showdown talks with Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo, having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old wants assurances over his future, but while Di Matteo is keen to hang onto the prospect, he will not accept players holding the club to ransom and would contemplate a £10 million bid.
