Sturridge camp denies wage demand claims
Daniel Sturridge's representatives have denied that he demanded high wages to leave Chelsea for Liverpool.
The 23-year-old English international is said to be on the verge of making the switch in the January transfer window.
According to media reports he demanded £80,000 and the assurance of being used as a striker.
However, his representatives, Octagon, released a statement to deny the rumors which read: "Daniel Sturridge does not conduct his business in public.
"He also does not make demands in any negotiation, with regards to salary or his playing position.
“Any contract between a club and a player has to be based on mutual agreement."
Sturridge has scored two goals in nine appearances in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
