Adam in Scotland squad for Australia friendly

Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has been named in the Scotland squad for next week's international friendly with Australia.

The central midfielder was named in Craig Levein’s 24-man squad for the match which is set to take place at Easter Road on August 15.

The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury in April, and as a result missed the closing stages of the season, but recovered in time to rejoin the squad for pre-season training.

Adam made his debut for Scotland in 2007 and has since collected 16 caps with the senior national team.
