Osaze, Daniel Chima to the rescue

Osaze on target for West Brom
Osaze Odemwingie and Daniel Chima Chukwu were the heroes for their respective European clubs on Saturday.

In England, Odemwingie scored equaliser for West Bromwich Albion in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in a pre-season game.

Sheffield Wednesday were leading 1-0 before Osaze struck in the 88th minute to end the game at 1-1.

In Norway, Nigerian striker Daniel Chima Chukwu scored the winning goal which gave champions Molde FK victory over Sogndal in the Elitesenen League.

Chima, who was a 46th minute substitute for Berget, scored the winner for Molde FK in the 62nd minute to earn his side the full three points.

With this result, Molde are second on the table with 35 points from 18 games, just four points adrift of leader Stromsgodset.

Kenneth Omeruo also played the full 90 minutes for Dutch club ADO Den Haag as they held English Premier League side Newcastle United to a goalless draw as part of pre-season build-up.

Omeruo, who will not be available for Nigeria’s 2013 African Youth Championship qualifier at home against Tanzania next week Sunday, impressed at right back.
