Schalke deny Bastos rumours
Schalke 04 have denied rumours that Olympique Lyonnais winger Michel Bastos is due for a medical with them
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Gelsenkirchen in the January transfer window, but the club has now moved to rubbish those claims.
"Contrary to many reports and rumours there are no new players expected at Schalke for a medical check," the club's official Twitter account read.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas also denied that a deal to take the Brazil international to the Veltins Arena was close and told20minutes.fr that there had been no talks between the two clubs.
"No that's wrong. There is no discussion and no agreement," he revealed to 20minutes.fr.
