Piszczek has been at Dortmund since 2010, moving to the Bundesliga champions from Hertha BSC.
The 27-year-old featured at Euro 2012 for his country and the Mail says that despite Polandís failure to escape the group stage, Piszczek still impressed with his individual displays.
The Mail went on to say Di Matteo is considering a number of options for right-back, including Interís Brazil defender Maicon, Ajax right-back Gregory van der Wiel, Lilleís France international Mathieu Debuchy and Manchester Unitedís Rafael da Silva.
