Jakub Blaszczykowski has revealed that he never had any intention of leaving Borussia Dortmund, claiming that there are few better clubs in the world.

The Poland international had claimed that he was being courted by Liverpool and Inter before the player signed a new contract with the German Champions that ties him to Signal Iduna Park until 2016.

Blaszczykowski has now claimed that his head was never turned by the rumoured interest of some of Europe's elite.

"When I came to Dortmund, the club was not like it is now," the midfielder told t-online.de. "I want to continue to participate in this development.

"What clubs in the world are better than Borussia Dortmund? There are not many. And the fans are outstanding: several thousand supporters in St Gallen for a friendly game - that says it all."

Blaszczykowski, who captained his country at Euro 2012, joined Dortmund from Wisla Krakow in 2007 for a reported €3 million fee.
