Borussia Dortmund will take on fourth placed Eintracht Frankfurt in a league match where only two points separates the sides
Borussia Dortmund, after a tough match in the UEFA Champions League this past week, will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in a Bundesliga match on Saturday night at the Signal Iduna Park.

Kick-off is at 19h30 (CAT).

This week's high profile match between Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt should be a close contest.

Frankfurt, to everyone's surprise, has met the challenges of taking on top clubs in the league. Given the fact that Borussia made the trip to the Ukraine and fought a hard battle will have to demonstrate that they can bounce back strong from the tough European competition.

Dortmund, both last weekend against Hamburg and Wednesday's match in Donetsk, has shown weaknesses in its defence. Roman Weidenfeller and Felipe Santana will have to be on their best game if they are to hold off the Eintracht onslaught.

Neven Subotic might return from injury to replace Santana at centre-back for the champions. With Ilkay Gündogan not fit enough to play in midweek, Nuri Sahin or Sebastian Kehl could partner Sven Bender in central midfield.

Robert Lewandowski is suspended for three games and could be replaced by Julian Schieber. Another possibility would be Marco Reus moving up front.

Frankfurt are just two points behind Dortmund and are currently placed in fourth position on the log standings. In midfield, manager Armin Veh is likely to stick with the same players with no injuries or suspensions to deal with.

Srdjan Lakic will keep his spot up front, with Karim Matmour remaining on the bench.

Borussia Dortmund have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 home matches against Eintracht in all competitions and are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 home matches against Eintracht Frankfurt in all competitions.
