Joseph Musonda has been handed a late recall for Zambia's June 2 World Cup Group D qualifier away to Sudan.

Musonda was initially missing from the provisional 26-man team Herve Renard named last Thursday for the African champions opening 2014 World Cup qualifier away to Sudan.

"I am very happy to be back and will work hard for the team with the same focus I had before my injury," Musonda told MTNFootball.com.

Musonda has yet to playing any competitive action since sustaining an injury in the Africa Cup final clash against Cote d'Ivoire on February 12 in Gabon.

The Golden Arrows defender was one of five PSL-based players who joined camp on Sunday.

The others are Orlando Pirates midfielder Isaac Chansa, the Free State Stars duo of Kennedy Mweene and Noah Chivuta and defender Kampamba Chintu of Bidvest Wits.

Meanwhile, five players from TP Mazembe lead by midfielder Rainford Kalaba are due to join the team on Tuesday.
