Power seek first win in Lusaka
Graven Chitalu of Power Dynamos
The late bloomer has hustled his way to the top of the MTN/FAZ Super Division table on 10 goals in 17 games and also earned a surprise Zambia call-up for the August 8 friendly against Zimbabwe at home in Ndola.
Chitalu also arrives in Lusaka on a high after scoring a brace in Power's 3-1 home win over Nakambala Leopards last Saturday.
"We are going to Lusaka to win but it will tough but we are still aiming for the win," Chitalu said.
Defending champions Power Dynamos visit National Assembly seeking back-to-back league wins this season.
However despite Chitalu’s declarations, Power are searching for their first win in the Midlands in 2012.
Their last trip to Lusaka saw them lose 2-1 to ambitious Napsa Stars on June 16 although they will take some comfort that they beat Assembly 2-0 in the first leg meeting on April 25 in Kitwe.
But that Assembly loss was under ex- coach Wesley Mondo.
The third from bottom sides new coach Mohammed Fathy is very familiar with Power whom he coached in 2009 and Assembly under the Egyptian have lost just three times in nine games.
This is despite having collected just one point from their last two games after the three week mid-season break and a win over Power will put them on the verge of leaving the relegation zone for the first time this season.
