Herve Renard has hinted doors are closing on his underperforming home-based veterans.

Renard said the African champions’ friendly at home against Zimbabwe on August 8 will be a chance for home-based prospects to win favour from their fans in Ndola.

"I know them perfectly they are very good in Zambia I gave them a lot of chance and now maybe it is time to see some new players," Renard said without naming names.

"Players have to be consistent that is what we need."

Meanwhile, game against Zimbabwe will also mark a rare friendly match at home in over five years by Zambia after electing to play all their friendly fixtures outside the country.

"That is why I suggested that we play the game in Ndola to see if the players are going to contain the pressure," Renard said.
