Zanaco open four point lead
Zanaco beat Zesco United 2-1 in Lusaka to open a four point lead at the top of the MTN/FAZ Super Division table.
The Bankers rallied from 1-0 down in the first half to avenge their 1-0 loss suffered in the first leg meeting on March 25 away in Ndola.
Striker Jackson Mwanza put Zesco ahead in the 8th minute from the penalty spot in a first half they dominated.
However two minutes before the break, Zanaco leveled through striker Lewis Macha who headed in a Moses Phiri cross.
Ten minutes after the break, Zesco thought they had taken the lead when Mwanza swept past two defenders to plant the ball behind the net but referee Wellington Kaoma ruled the goal for offside.
Almost immediately, Zanaco hit back on the counter through Phiri but his shot spectacularly came off the upright.
Three minutes later, midfielder Henry Banda made no mistake when he crashed in a free kick to score the goal that would eventually hand Zanaco the three points.
Zanaco shift to 36 points while Zesco remain second on 32 points despite the loss.
Third placed Power Dynamos also stayed put when they were held to a scoreless draw away at Green Eagles.

Very very fantastic and fantabulous game at sunset stadium. It was fifty fithy game. Despite losing to Zanaco, Zesco is good team.
