Napsa Stars coach Patrick Phiri says the promoted team is on course to stay in the MTN/FAZ Super Division.

The Lusaka-based outfit is the best performing promoted side and are currently sixth on 12 points from nine games in their first season back in the top flight after 11 years away.

On Saturday, Napsa came from behind to beat fellow promoted side and bottom placed National Assembly 2-1 at Edwin Emboela Stadium in Lusaka.

"Our main object is to ensure that we do not go back to Division One and we are on track now," Phiri told MTNFootball.com.

"And of course if we do well we cannot fail to go for the major honours."

Phiri hailed his experienced trio of ex-international's Ian Bakala, Linos Chalwe and Harry Milanzi for being in inspirational form for the promoted side.

Chalwe in particular sparked Napsa's comeback with the equaliser 15 minute from full time just as Assembly looked like they were set for their first win of the season when Brian Chilando put them ahead in the 15th minute to hand them a 1-0 first half lead.

However, Keagan Zulu snatched the three points for Napsa with just three minutes remaining on the clock to see Phiri's extend their unbeaten run to four games from which they have collected eight out of a possible 11 points.

"It is a magnificent performance coming from behind," the former Zambia and Nkana coach said.

"The boys almost gave up but they worked very hard and realized that they had a lot to lose. They have a good record now so they really wanted to protect their record."
