TP Mazembe boss Moses Katumbi believes his Zambia players absence from the Korea friendly is still a win-win situation for them.

All five Zambia players at Mazembe will miss the August 15 friendly in Seoul due to a Champions League Group A away to Zamalek of Egypt that will come four days later on August 19 in Cairo.

Katumbi said in an interview that the experience from the Zamalek game will instead add value ahead of Zambia’s 2012 Africa Cup qualifier against Uganda in Ndola on September 8.

"They need to get more competition in the Champions League before they go and play the qualification for the Africa Cup in South Africa," Katumbi said.

"It is beneficial because the Champions League tops the Korean game."

Midfielder Rainford Kalaba, defenders Francis Kasonde, Stophilla Sunzu and Hichani Himoonde plus striker Given Singulma are set to miss the South Korea friendly.

Midfielder Nathan Sinkala too will not be available while recovers from a facial nerve infection.

The Football Association of Zambia had earlier announced that only the European and Asia-based players will be available for next week’s trip to Seoul.
