Cranes striker Kiiza saves Young Africans in Tanzania League

Uganda Cranes striker Hamis Deigo Kiiza rescued regional Cecafa Kagame Cup Champions Young Africans FC when he came in late to score an equalizer five minutes to time against Mtibwa Sugar in a League match in the Tanzanian League.

Shaban Kisiga had given the Mtibwa Sugar side the lead at the stroke of half time, but Kiiza was brought on and made no mistake netting the important goal that keeps Young Africans still top of the table.

The striker is expected to arrive this morning in Kampala to prepare with the Cranes team ahead of an International friendly on Wednesday against Rwanda in Kigali. Brian Umony, another Cranes striker also netted a brace for Azam in their 3-1 victory over Toto Africans.

Young Africans lead the table in Tanzania with 33 points from 15 games and with two defeats. Azam FC on the log, while the defebding champions Simba Fc are third with 27 points and Coastal Union in forth place.
