Birds stars fly to Buffaloes

The team conducted trials at TB Centre in Matsapha this morning but elite league players were not allowed to be part of the proceedings.
The announcement was made at the venue, including Mbabane Swallows defender Sifiso Mabila and teammate Phinda Ginindza, had already stormed the venue to be part of the day’s activities.
MTN Premier League top goal scorer and Malanti Chiefs striker Nhlanhla ‘Mshengu’ Kunene even skipped classes at Nkhaba High School in Southern Hhohho to be part of the event.
While most of the players acted innocently in their presence, further investigations by MTNFootball.com revealed that most of them were eyeing a move to Buffaloes as they were seen trying to conceal bags believed to be carrying training outfits.
Other players in attendance were Moneni Pirates’ strong defensive duo of skipper Menzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane and Mndeni Mamba. Long-serving Malanti Chiefs defender Sifiso ‘CJ’ Dlamini and Mbabane Highlanders’ pair of youngsters Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini and Banele Dlamini did not miss out either.
When the team announced that they would not be allowed to take part in the trials some looked devastated, but did not immediately leave the place as they were seen mingling with the Buffaloes players and loitering.
Buffaloes General Manager Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini said the players would only be allowed in the side for assessment in the second stage of the trials in the next two weeks. He encouraged them to get clearances from their respective teams.
“We expect Premier League players who intend to join the team to have clearances from their respective teams,” said Dlamini.
Some the players were exclusively linked with Buffaloes by this website recently. Meanwhile it was gathered that former Mbabane Highlanders midfielder Mpendulo ‘Biano’ Kunene started training with Buffaloes towards the end of the past season.
One of the players who spoke on condition of anonymity agreed that he availed himself with the desire to join Buffaloes but said he went to the event against his team’s will.
