MTNFootball.com brought you a round-up of how the African stars playing in Europe got on this Saturday.

There were plenty of players involved in key matches around the continent, from England to Spain, Belgium to Italy.

As the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations draws nearer, the chances of proving form and fitness to national team coaches across the continent run out.

That makes each game-week vital and this one was no different, especially with a round of international matches next Wednesday!

18h32 - Peter Odemwingie is now on for West Brom, who lead 2-1 at Wigan.

18h00 - GOAL! Nigerian Kalu Uche scores a late penalty for Turkish side Kasimpasa in their 1-1 home draw with Antalyaspor. That game has now finished.

17h55 - Zimbabwe's Knowledge Musona is on for Augsburg, but they trail German champions Borussia Dortmund 3-0 at home.

17h45 - GOAL! Cote d'Ivoire striker Arouna Kone has netted for Wigan, but they trail West Brom 2-1 at the break!

16h44 - By the way, Cameroon star Joel Matip is at centre-back for Schalke in the Bundesliga as they are currently being held 0-0 by Werder Bremen. The latter have Nigerian Joseph Akpala on the bench.

16h37 - Senegal's Armand Traoré, Morocco's Adel Taarabt and Mali's Samba Diakité all start for QPR at Stoke City.

16h35 - Cameroon defender Sebastien Bassong starts for Norwich City at Reading, while Mali's Jimmy Kebe is on the bench for the hosts.

16h33 - South African Steven Pienaar starts for Everton against Sunderland in the English Premiership, while on the bench is Senegalese Under-23 star Mugaye Gueye. On the other side, Stephen Sessègnon is in the starting line-up for the Black Cats.
