Champions again Brazil
World youth champions Brazil won this year’s Cape Town International Challenge after a 2-0 win after extra time over rivals Argentina.

Sunday’s all-South American final at the Cape Town Stadium ended without any goals after regulation time before Brazil’s Bispo Jr opened scoring and then caused a penalty, which was converted, in extra time.

Hosts South Africa won the third-place game against Japan 7-6 on penalties after full time scores stood at 1-1.

South Africa took the lead after 23 minutes through striker Thabani Mthembu, before Japan drew level in the 71st minute through Shinya Yajima.

In the penalty shootout, substitute goalkeeper Lebo Ngubeni saved three shots to crown an exciting Amajita side the third best team of the eight-nation competition.
