Leopards happy with signings
Black Leopards assistant coach Abel
Makhubela insists that the club has made the right acquisitions to improve
their squad for next season.
Lidoda Duvha have brought in Mondli Miya
and Thulani Ntshingila (both from Dynamos), Djunga Munganga (St Eloi Lupopo, DR
Congo), Brian Amidu (Kaizer Chiefs), Tommy Mandlazi (Baobab Zero Fake) and
Otshudi Lamá (Liga Muçulmana) in this transfer window.
Lama is an international goalkeeper with
Mozambique, while Amidu is a Zimbabwe junior international and highly rated in
his own country.
“We are proud to admit that we have filled
the positions that were missing and the new players are fitting in nicely and
everyone seems to be happy and content,” Makhubela says. “There are no injuries
and all players that had injuries [Harry Nyirenda and Mahlatse Maake] are back
in full swing. We should have yet another wonderful season and make our fans
proud.”
Leopards narrowly avoided relegation at the
end of the 2011/12 Absa Premiership season, but did have a good run to the
playoff round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
