Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has lamented the club’s bad luck with injuries in the recent past.

Siphiwe Tshabalala, Siboniso Gaxa and Kingston Nkhatha all limped out of the Gauteng Cup at the weekend, a headache for new coach Stuart Baxter.

“None are too serious,” says football manager Bobby Motaung, “but we hope this is not a trend of things to come. We had our fair share of bad luck last season.”

Tshabalala looks to be the most worrying knock and he has been ruled out for the 2012 Carling Black Label Cup clash against Orlando Pirates at Soccer City on Saturday.

The Bafana Bafana winger was one of the top picks by Chiefs fans, but will now have to be replaced in the starting line-up.
