Helsingborg land Erasmus on loan
SuperSport United have loaned Kermit Erasmus
to Swedish side Helsingborg for the rest of the Allsvenskan season.
The Bafana Bafana forward will team up with
compatriot May Mahlangu in Sweden and could get to play UEFA Champions League
football if the club progresses to the group stages of the competition.
As the Swedish season runs from April to
November, his loan spell will only be for the next few months, after which the
two clubs will revisit negotiations over a permanent deal.
SuperSport are reported to have already turned
down a US$400 000 offer for the 22-year-old, but with the player not in
coach Gavin Hunt’s plans for this season, he has been allowed to return to
Europe and try and drive that transfer price up.
