Orlando Pirates face a number of injury worries ahead of their MTN8 semifinal with SuperSport United on Sunday.

Most worrying for Buccaneer fans will be star striker Benni McCarthy. who has missed training this week and is a major doubt.

They will already be without forward Ndumiso Mabena, whose hamstring injury means he will be missing for the next three weeks.

Augusto Palacios will also be sweating over the fitness of midfielders Andile Jali and Manti Moholo, who have ankle and hamstring problems respectively.

The squad has also been hit by flu this week, with Robyn Johannes, Moeneeb Josephs, Daine Klate and Mpho Makola all battling.

National team coach Gordon Igesund will also be keeping an eye on Jali especially as he looks to select his squad for the friendly international in Brazil on September 7.
