Orlando Pirates have received a boost with the news that they will have a full squad to select from for their League opener on Friday night.

The Buccaneers host Lamontville Golden Arrows as they get the defence of their championship title under way and injury worries over midfielder Oupa Manyisa and left-back Thabo Matlaba have dissipated.

“I initially thought Oupa’s injury was serious but medical results suggest that it was nothing serious. He did some work in the gym this morning with the rest of the guys and he seems to be okay,” club physiotherapist John Williams said.

“He is doing normal training but we will continue monitoring him, and see how he responds to training along the week – the way he dislocated his elbow looked serious from where I was standing, but he feels fine.”
