SuperSport United midfielder George Maluleka says he won’t let emotion get the better of him against Ajax Cape Town tonight.

The Bafana Bafana star joined SuperSport from the Urban Warriors just weeks ago, and as fate would have it, will return to the Cape Town Stadium to face his former side in the opening game of the Absa Premiership tonight.
But he says he has made peace with his Ajax exit and will go all out for the victory for his new team.

“I won’t allow those emotions to get the better of me,” he told The Citizen. “I want to do well for SuperSport against Ajax and that’s my aim. I have nothing to prove to anyone.”

Maluleka had originally joined Ajax from SuperSport having been used as an out-and-out striker by Matsatsantsa.

He has since been converted to midfield and says he feels like he has unfinished business with the Pretoria side.

“I won two league titles with SuperSport but I felt like I didn’t contribute enough in those titles,” he said. “So I feel I have unfinished business with the team as I want to contribute.”
