This year’s MTN Last Fan Standing will win a prize worth a whopping R2 million. This includes a trip of a lifetime to watch eight top derbies in the world and R1 million in cash.

R8 million MTN8 Last Fan Standing competition lines are open!

The competition lines to the MTN8 “R8 million in prizes” consumer competition opened on Monday, 1 August 2011 for the multitudes of football fanatics and consumers around the country who have been eagerly waiting to enter and win their share of the R8 million.

For the duration of the tournament, every eight hours, there will be daily winners of airtime (R8000), home entertainment sets, IPhones and many other spot prizes every day.

As part of the R8 million pot of prizes, this year’s MTN Last Fan Standing competition will see the winner walking away with the grand prize worth a whopping R2 million - comprising R1 million in cash, plus an experience to watch eight of the best football derbies in the world!

So how can fans enter?

To stand a chance to win, fans will have to opt-in when they receive an SMS from MTN about the competition by dialing *186*8# and then recharging with a minimum of R10 airtime.

By doing so, fans stand a chance to win one of the awesome prizes mentioned, and will also be automatically entered into a weekly draw to be selected as two of the weekly Last Fan Standing finalists, selected between 15 August and 5 September 2011.

Furthermore, the two weekly Last Fan Standing finalists drawn over the four week period, will each win a guaranteed R80 000 in cash.

Each of the eight finalists will then go into the final round during the week leading up to the MTN8 Final, putting them in line to win the ultimate Last Fan Standing winner, walking away with the R2 million prize.

The competition will run from 15 August 2011 until 5 September 2011 with the ultimate Last Fan Standing winner announced on the day of the MTN8 Final on 10 September. 

MTN8 Wafa Wafa Women’s Month competition

In support of Women’s Month (August), the MTN8 Wafa Wafa tournament will reward female fans that come to the stadium dressed in fan regalia. 

Female fans that come clad to impress will stand a chance to win an R8000 prize that is shared. In the spirit of Women’s Month, the female fan will receive R4000 in cash for herself and will donate the remaining R4000 to a charity of her choice that seeks to help women or children.  

At each game, the best-dressed female fan will be selected from the stands and will be announced at half time after being selected by a renowned women’s personality at each game.
