He was Chiefs’ principle signing in last season and questions were asked about the logic of bringing him to Naturena, but he proved his critics wrong last season with some stunning performances, his best performance coming against Pirates in the final of the Telkom Knockout where he scored a brace to help Chiefs to victory.
In the league he featured in 23 games and scored three goals, starting nine games and running on as a substitute 14 times.
He has the frame and the physique to be a lethal attacker and will in all likelihood be used as a target man by the Chiefs wingers, who will be sending high balls into the danger area in search of him.
The pressure of playing at Chiefs does not seem to affect him.
Mid-Season Profile
The tall striker has not impressed in the 2011/12 season thus far having netted only one goal at the time of writing.
He has also not been able to establish a regular place in the starting XI and is often in and out of the team.
His dedication and commitment on the field are evident for all to see, but he has not found his scoring boots thus far.
Season Wrap up
Ignored for much of the campaign by previous coach Vladimir Vermezovic, the big forward got some game-time towards the end of the campaign.
Just two goals in 16 appearances (seven starts) is not a great return from him though and the Chiefs fans now groan whenever they see the sight of him.
