Former Golden Arrows goalkeeper Stephan Loboue has joined German lower division side SV Eintracht Tier 05 on a season-long contract.

The 31-year old was released by Abafana Bes’thende at the end of the 2011/12 season, having joined the club midway through the campaign, and will not be competing in the Southwest Regional league, the fourth tier of the German league system.

The German-born goalkeeper has represented Ivory Coast at senior level and has also played in Germany’s second and third divisions with clubs like Greuter Fürth and Rot-Weiss Oberhausen.

"We are very pleased to have signed such an experienced goalkeeper,” Eintracht Tier coach Roland Seitz told the club’s website. “You know, previously we were quite thin in that position.”

Last season Loboue made two appearances for Arrows, starting in a 3-2 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic and coming on as a substitute during a 4-1 loss to Ajax Cape Town.
