Keet disappointed in no Bafana call-up

The match will be Igesund’s first match in charge of South Africa, where they will play two friendlies, one against Brazil on Friday, September 7, and the second against Mozambique, September 11.
Itumeleng Khune and Wayne Sandilands were given the nod to form part of the three goalkeepers to make the trip, as well as Moeneeb Josephs who returned to international football after threatening to retire.
“Everyone wants to be called up, and like none other, I was very disappointed as my form is consistent and I love to represent my country,” said Keet.
“I believe a call up to the National Team would have been just reward for my six performances thus far, but there are many other players who deserved a call up too.”
The shot-stopper has been in impeccable form for his Belgium club KVKortrijk, seeing him named in the team of the week and team of the season since the start of the league campaign.
“Unfortunately, the coach can only select so many players for the squad that he wants and I was just not in his plans this time around.
“I know there will many more opportunities, so it is for me to keep doing well for my club and keep improving and then hopefully, that call up to National Team will come,” concluded the former Wits man.
