Bidvest Wits have welcomed a lot of new faces during the transfer window, but in return they have also waved goodbye to a host of players with Ntokozo Sikhakhane, Thando Mngomeni and Derrick Spencer the latest players deemed to be surplus to the club’s requirements.

Sikhakhane, Mngomeni and Spencer join a number of players who have already been handed their clearances.

The three still had contracts with the club, but have reached settlements which will allow them to join clubs of their choices as free agents.

Also falling into this category are Sipho Mngomezulu, Bradley Ritson, Energy Murambadoro, Kampamba Chintu, Thokozani Mshengu and Ayo Oluwafemi .

There has been a mass exit from the club since the arrival of CEO Jose Ferreira, including former coach Roger De Sa. But Ferreira insists he has had nothing to do with the departure of some players and confirms they have final settled on their squad of 30.

“We will not be making any more signings because we are settled on the squad,” said Ferreira whose club have signed over a dozen players in the transfer window.
