Bobe gets CAF nomination
Black Leopards skipper Mongezi Bobe has been nominated for the locally-based African Footballer of the Year award.
Bobe was excellent in leading Lidoda Duvha during the CAF Confederation Cup campaign this year, when they reached the fourth round before losing to Al-Merreikh of Sudan.
“Bobe made a significant contribution and buoyed by a good run in the Confederation Cup, he helped his side stay in the South Africa Premier League after a poor start,” CAF have said in response to his nomination.
The midfielder is one of 32 players nominated, with that number being cut down to five later this month.
