Larsen: ‘We need better finishing’
Celtic coach Clinton Larsen says his team
must improve their finishing ahead of the Telkom Knockout semifinal with Free
State Stars.
The match is an opportunity for either of
these sides to reach a rare final, but Larsen says that his team needs to begin
converting the numerous chances they create if they are to have a chance at the
Charles Mopeli Stadium.
“The game will be won by the team that will
convert chances created,” Larsen told reporters.
“We are a team that creates chances but
have been letting ourselves down by not converting those chances. We have to be
at our best for the match against Stars. They are a quality team and have a quality
coach in Steve Komphela.
“Everybody is looking forward to the game.
It's a big game for the club. We are expecting a tough game but we are
confident if we come to the party we can advance to the final.”
The winner of this fixture will play either
SuperSport United or Mamelodi Sundowns in the final. Those two teams meet on
Saturday night in Polokwane.
