The player just need to sign personal terms with the AmaKhosi, but is expected to complete a R3.5-million transfer when he returns from holidays in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Leopards owner David Thidiela has expressed his disappointment at losing the player, but says he could not stand in his way.
"But I don't want to be seen as a stumbling block. If the player is happy to move to Chiefs, there is nothing I can do," Thidiela told the Sowetan.
Leopards will now be seeking to find a replacement for the player ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup playoff tie with Sudanese side Al-Merreikh next month.
