Isaacs will do pre-season at Ajax
Dominic Isaacs of Kaizer Chiefs
‘Domza’ was recently let go by Kaizer Chiefs after a four year stint in Gauteng and talk immediately began about a return to the Urban Warriors.
MTNFootball can confirm that Isaacs, who is still in the Maldeves on honeymoon, will go and train with Ajax during their pre-season.
“We negotiated a pay-out from Chiefs so Dominic is in no rush to find a club. He will come home and keep fit with Ajax,” says Michael Hughes of MSCSPORTS who represent the former School of Excellence product.
“I think there are positives in Dominic’s future. He’s a free agent and he knows the Ajax system because he was in their youth and played in the first team for so long.”
The one challenge is that Ajax coach Maarten Stekelenburg doesn’t know Isaacs, but if the Dutchman is to remain as the first team coach, then the training stint will give him a chance to see Isaacs in action.
Matthew Booth just recently extended his stay at Ajax and the club is still looking for another centre back.
