Orlando Pirates have announced that Zambian midfielder Isaac Chansa has been sold to Henan Jianye FC in China.

The club made the statement on their website on Wednesday, ending speculation about the players future after he was previously linked with Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows.

"Although the club would have liked to keep the Africa Cup of Nations winner at the team for the new season, the player had already expressed his intentions to move overseas for a fresh challenge and hence the club ceded to the players request," the club says..

"On behalf of the Orlando Pirates family we would like to wish Isaac Chansa all the best at his new club."

Chansa had two spells with the club, helping them win back-to-back League titles, including scoring a vital winner against Lamontville Golden Arrows on the final day of the 2011/12 season to give his side the championship.
