Zwane praises Arrows development
Siyanda Zwane of Golden Arrows
Towards the end of last season coach Muhsin Ertugral stated that he was looking to introduce more players from their development side, and Zwane believes this is the right way to go.
“Being one of the players coming from the development team with the likes of Njabulo Manqana, Philani Shange, Thanduyise Khuboni to name a few, I have to say that the development structures at Arrows have produced some talented players,” said Zwane.
"There's more talent to come. We usually play friendly games with the young boys and I believe that most of them are ready to make the step up to the first team.”
Zwane made his debut for Arrows during the 2006/07 season, but only started getting regular game time two seasons later, but he believes that allowed him to grow into a better player.
“Nothing happens overnight; when I joined the first team I had to wait for my chance to play, but at the same time I was learning and growing as a player,” said Zwane.
"There's always a need for youngsters who are hungry to come in and challenge the more experienced players and keep them on their toes.
“Competition is what makes the team better; it's a good thing.”
