New Bloemfontein Celtic striker Siyabonga Nontshinga says he is confident of success despite the club releasing some of their more experienced players like Moses Spandeel and Papi Zothwane.

Punya Sele Sele have brought in Nontshinga, John Arwuah from SuperSport United and have taken Auguston Leonard permanently from Moroka Swallows.

But they have also let go of experienced men like Spandeel, Thokozani Mshengu, Clifford Mulenga and Zothwane.

Nontshinga, the former Jomo Cosmos man, does not think the loss of those players will hamper the club’s hopes for success next season after coach Clinton Larsen targeted a finish in the top four.

“I am confident that even with the departure of those players; the competition for places in the starting XI will be stiff,” he tells MTNFootball.

“There are players who will be eager to prove themselves because the departed players have left vacancies that need to be filled.

“I can see that the coach is motivating us by saying that he wants the team to finish in the top four – he wants us to strive for more success when we step onto that field,” concluded the new Celtic man.
