There is still no news on the future of former Ajax Cape Town skipper Brett Evans who went on trial to a Major Soccer League club.

The defender parted ways with the Urban Warriors in order to seek one last spell of regular game time.

After failing to make the cut at Oregan-based club Portland Timbers, the left-back has gone for round two in the USA in hope of finding another club, but Ajax have confirmed they are still in the dark about his future.

“We have nothing about Brett,” confirmed Ajax PRO Shooz Mekuto.

“It will be a challenge for him to find the club where he is the right fit, but age is not on his side.”

Evans, the highest capped player for Ajax with over 300 appearances, left the Mother City in mid-June to go on trial.
