Pirates to face Golden Arrows
Orlando Pirates will take on Lamontville
Golden Arrows in a pre-season friendly at the Rand Stadium on Tuesday.
The match will be behind closed doors and a
first real run-out of the pre-season for The Buccaneers.
They have been boosted by the return to training of midfielder
Andile Jali recently following his extended break due to his participation in
international matches with Bafana Bafana.
“I think this will be a good test for us,” Jali told his club’s website. “At
the moment we have been doing the normal things we do during pre-season which
is very hard, but we are all happy to get a good game and see how prepared we
are for the beginning of the season.
“We will be playing the same team in our
first league match, so this will not only be good for us to test our readiness
but also to understand the type of team we will be up against in August when
the season begins.”
Abafana Bes’thende will be coming off a 4-2
victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.
