Leopards to move for keeper
Black Leopards are to step up their interest in Niger international goalkeeper Kassaly Daouda and offer the keeper a deal.
Lidoda Duvha are desperately searching for a new keeper for the 2012/13 PSL campaign and think they have found the one in Daouda, who has been on trial at the club.
The 28-year-old comes with vast experience, having even played in a CAF Champions League final for Cameroonian side CotonSport against Al Ahly in 2008. He was named Niger Player of the Year that same season.
He has also played in Romania with Rapid Bucharest, but spent just a short time there on loan.
Daouda played for the Nigeriens in their 2-1 victory over Bafana Bafana in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last September.
He was also in goals for the finals of that tournament where Niger held their own before exiting in the first round.
Leopards have already rejected the chance to sign former Santos goalkeeper Tsepo Motsoeneng, and they are still interested in Zimbabwean international Washington Arubi.
Daouda is also on the watch-list for newly-promoted Absa Premiership side Chippa United.
