Larsen to return to Nigeria
Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen
says he and his assistant Boebie Solomons will return to Nigeria in the coming
weeks.
The pair were on a scouting mission in
West Africa last weekend, taking in matches at the Sunshine Stars club.
Larsen says they liked what they saw and
will return in two weeks for a close look at the players.
Although he would not disclose who they
are, it is believed he has been keeping an eye on watching winger Ajani Ibrahim
and defender Godfrey Oboabona, both of whom have featured in recent Super
Eagles squads.
“They have a couple of interesting
players at Sunshine Stars and we saw enough to make us want to go back there
and have another look,” Larsen says. “I am not sure yet whether we will make a
move for them, we will have to wait and see.”
