Matthew Booth of Ajax Cape Town

The fact that Dominic Isaacs has moved on and is now at Bloemfontein Celtic means that it is almost certain Matthew Booth will extend his stay at Ajax Cape Town.

Isaacs, a former Ajax player, was expected to be offered a contract having joined the team during pre-season. 

He was also told as much, only to realise later that coach Maarten Stekelenburg would have to choose between him and Booth.

“With Isaacs the coach [Maarten Stekelenburg] said he wanted either Booth or him ... we know what the decision was,” Ajax PRO Shooz Mekuto said.

So it seems by Isaacs moving to Siwelele that Booth will pen a new deal.

Up until now, the paperwork has been stalled due to a disagreement between the Ajax board of directors over the length of Booth’s renewal.
