Sir Alex Ferguson says he is looking forward to Manchester United’s tour to South Africa, where they will face Ajax Cape Town in the MTN Invitational.

United will be heading to South Africa to face AmaZulu on July 18, and Ajax Cape Town on July 21, and the Scotsman believes the 2010 World Cup hosts will be a ‘good start’ for his touring boys.

"It’s a great country," Ferguson told his club’s website, "and the games we have over there have been competitive and we have a great fan-base over there.

"It’ll be a good start for us on the tour and it’s something I’m looking forward to."

This will mark the fourth time the Red Devils have traveled to the Mother City, and they are expecting to be without big names such Ji-Sun Park, who completed his move to QPR, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Nani.
