Mthembu ready to shine at Arrows
'Shaka Zulu' Mthembu at Arrows
The KwaZulu-Natal born player says he is settling well with Abafana Bes’thende and hoping to contribute to their success.
“I’m really excited to be back home but most importantly I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter with Golden Arrows,” said Mthembu.
“A lot of things have happened in my career but the most important part is the future. I believe everything I’ve been through, good or bad, has helped me to become a stronger person and a stronger player.”
The former Orlando Pirates player says he’s been communicating well with his new coach Muhsin Ertugral since he started training with Arrows.
“I’m very comfortable with the new coach. He’s an open coach and I think I’ll always be aware where I stand and what I need to do to keep improving my game,” he said.
“There are many good players here and the same goes for the striking department. I’m not going to come in and promise to start banging goals in but I can promise to work hard and to take whatever opportunities I get with both hands.”
