Mathebula backs Chiefs' title bid

Mathebula left AmaKhosi at the end of last season having also spent time on loan at Mpumalanga Black Aces, and has been a revelation for The Birds in the current campaign.
His new side are still in with a chance in the title-race, but he has also backed Chiefs to come out on top after they beat The Birds 3-0 at the weekend.
“Chiefs have always been a great side and there is no doubt that they are strongly challenging for league honours again this season. They can definitely win it,” he told the AmaKhosi website.
“We played well on the day but Kaizer Chiefs were better than us especially in the middle where they dominated. We will go back to the drawing board to rectify our mistakes.”
Chiefs currently trail Absa premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by three points with 13 games left in the season, while Swallows are a further three points back.
