Majoro: ‘We will bounce back’
Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro
has warned his former employers AmaZulu to expect a backlash from the AmaKhosi.
Chiefs were humbled 4-1 by Mamelodi
Sundowns in their MTN8 quarterfinal on Sunday, but Majoro says that result is
behind them and they are ready to fire in their League opener against Usuthu this
weekend.
“The game against Sundowns is water under
the bridge and all of us are focused on the upcoming assignment against
AmaZulu,” Majoro told his club’s website.
“We know what is expected from us as individuals
and as a team. Our fans are expecting us to bounce back against AmaZulu and
this is what we are focusing on currently.
"The moral in the team is
understandably low and it is normal when you lose a game. The encouraging thing
is that this team has a belief and we all want to change things around.
“One of the reasons personally I joined the
club was because of the rich history to win trophies and we need to continue
with this tradition.
"We want to contribute to the history of the club and not
to be remembered as the class that did not bring success to the team.”
