Black Leopards coach Sunday Chidzambwa has admonished his side for the soft goals they conceded against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Lidoda Duvha were cruising at 2-0 in the game midway through the second half, before a comical own goal and another soft strike from Letladi Madubanya pegged them back at 2-2.

The team went on to win the game 3-2, but Chidzambwa says they need to improve their defending if they are to prosper this season.

“I’m very happy but also looking at the game I’m not happy with the way we conceded those two goals, yes we were one man down but we cannot give away two easy goals. Maybe we need to get back to the drawing board and try work on those things,” he told his club’s website.

“I think the boys are not experienced enough in those situations, they were still shocked that their teammate got a red card but those things happen in football and we just have to live with it.

“I think before the red card, we were playing very well, we were defending well but you know I’m not a referee so I cannot tell whether it was justified or not, I cannot comment on that.  But we have to be prepared for that kind of situation. We were in Africa previously and we must be experienced enough to play under such situations.”
