Larsen praises his team
Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen has heaped praise on his side, despite their MTN8 quarterfinal exit at the hands of Orlando Pirates.
Bucs triumphed on Friday night thanks to a controversial penalty award, which was converted by Andile Jali.
Celtic did give the defending champions some nervy moments though, and Larsen says it bodes well for the new League season.
“I am proud of my troops; they held their own against Orlando Pirates and created enough chances but did not take them, “ Larsen said. “We did well until Pirates were awarded that dubious penalty. The player was falling and did not put out his hand.
“But there were a lot of positives to take out of the match; we will be very competitive this season.”
