Mamelodi Sundowns coach Johan Neeskens says he is pleased with the three points, but not at all happy with the way his team played.

Speaking after The Brazilians laboured to a 1-0 win over Premiership new boys Chippa United, the Dutch coach said his team could not pass the ball or take a proper set piece in their opening league match played at home.

“I can only be happy with the points, it is the most important thing of course. But today I cannot be happy with our performance,” Neeskens said.

“Especially if you look at our passing and crossing. It was very bad.

“Our corners and free kicks in the first half were all one metre high, but we have been working on these things.

“Now we have to talk a lot and work very hard because there is a long way to go so we should not be satisfied.”
