Mamelodi Sundowns’ young defender Siyabonga Ngubane believes that his side are riding high on confidence after thrashing rivals Kaizer Chiefs and booking a place against Moroka Swallows in the semifinals of the MTN8.

That crushing 4-1 defeat has given Ngubane the confidence that the Brazilians will end their trophy drought with a first piece of silverware in five seasons.

Ngubane said that as players and as a team they have forgotten about Sunday’s result and have put their focus on their next game.

"Swallows are a very good side and we respect them. We want to go all the way and lift the cup, but to do that we have to go past Swallows first. As a team we have forgotten about the past and we have to go into this game looking for a win. The good thing is we are starting at home.

“We have to win with a good result and when we go away we can consolidate the result and reach for the final. We want to win this one. We have to fight hard to achieve what we want, but as I have said, we will go all the way," Ngubane concluded.
