Golden Arrows striker Thamsanqa Gabuza says he decided to honour his contract with the club despite interest from other sides.

The 25-year-old scored eight league goals last season, most of them as a substitute, and admits that he entertained offers from other clubs before deciding to continue with Abafana Bes’thende.

"I sat down and had a chat with (Arrows CEO) Mato Madlala and she suggested that it is best that I honour the remaining year of my contract and I felt that it is only fair because it will also be my last season at the club," Gabuza told Football411.

"Besides Wits, I was also in primary negotiations with SuperSport (United) but we didn't get any further because when I approached Mato about the move, she was very straight with me.

"But I've been here since the beginning of my career and I feel that I need to honour my contract, work hard and score as many goals as I can before I consider the idea of changing environments, which is something I have the whole season to think about."

Gabuza started his career with Maritzburg City and Durban Stars before joining Arrows ahead of the 2009/10 season.
